Why is Hollywood-Arts needed? Hollywood Arts gives at-risk, runaway and homeless teenagers a second chance. The center provides classes, during school hours, to out-of-school youth providing our students with a chance to be off the streets in a safe, creative and supportive environment. These classes also give structure to young lives, provide a place for personal expression, and teach teamwork. Hollywood Arts will even work with our graduates to transition them off the streets into jobs when they are ready.
Who receives the benefits? Our students range in age from 14 to 21. Some of them have run away from abusive family situations in other parts of the country, drawn to Hollywood because of its international presence. Others
are emancipated foster youth who have aged out of the system but have no place to go. They are equally male and female.
How much of my money helps at-risk youth? 95% of all contributions go to support the center, cover teacher salaries and pay for art supplies.
What if I want a refund on my donation? Donations are nonrefundable but please note that every dollar you pledge helps save a young person’s life.
What percentage of my donation is tax-deductible? The full amount of your contribution is tax-deductible minus the value of any goods or services you have received for the gift. If you have
any questions, please feel free to call us and we can discuss this with you.
